Dr. Christopher Doss

Dr. Christopher C. Doss is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering in Spring, 1994 from the University of South Florida. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University in Spring, 1997 and 2001, respectively. While working on his Ph.D., Dr. Doss served as an instructor at Wake Technical Community College, where he worked until Summer 2001. Dr. Doss has held his current position at North Carolina A & T State University since 2002. He is currently the Area Coordinator for Computer Engineering. Dr. Doss is currently advising three Ph.D. students and one Master’s student. He has advised five MS students, and he has served on the committees of over a dozen Ph.D. and MS students.
Dr. Doss’ current research interests are: 1.) the design and implementation of computationally intense applications on custom computing (also known as reconfigurable) computing systems; 2.) mobile health application interoperability and telemedicine; 3.) impact of security, identity and trust in Internet of Things applications.
